Talk Sustainability

Led by former Sustain Mizzou exec board members John Gardner and Christine O’Brien in 2009-2010, Talk Sustainability was a series of seminars or workshops that addressed different aspects of sustainability.

Topics in the spring 2010 semester included Climate Change Negotiation at Copenhagen (Dr. Mike Urban and Dr. Mark Cowell), Careers in Sustainability (Jan Weaver), Natural Resource Sustainability in MO (Director of DNR-Mark Templeton, and Sewing and Mending (Craft Studio). 45 students attended the Climate Change and Department of Natural Resources Lectures. About 15% of attendees were non Sustain Mizzou members.

Due to the founding members graduating and an increase in sustainability lectures across campus (such as the Food and Society lecture series and the Conservation Biology group lectures), this project was discontinued.
